Wildlife Sculptures

Michelle often works with schools to create wildlife sculptures from found materials for their gardens or buildings.  The sculptures of a stag and fish were part of a project with a secondary school in Chingford called ‘Out of the Art Room’.  Year 10 and 12 pupils worked with Michelle to create two sculptures inspired by the nearby forest environment and the throwaway culture of the modern world.  Pupils chose to create their ideas using found and recycled materials along with forest resources.  The two sculptures were created to be sited in a new school building outside of the art department.

The totem pole inspired sculptures were made with Whitefield school in Walthamstow using logs and bits of old wooden furniture.
