MICHELLE READER

BEEP BEEP

'Beep Beep' was an interactive exhibition for children which Michelle designed and created through workshops with children and families at Orlean House Gallery in 2015.  It included a cutout play bus, a steam train complete with coal to shovel into the boiler, a hot air balloon reading den, a boat on a river with a magnetic fishing game and a road play mat with hand-made wooden cars.  Various groups were involved in creating the show, including schools, after school clubs, children's centres and families.  The exhibition also involved a competition to design a sustainable form of transport, and Michelle ran a workshop with the winning school, Unicorn school in Richmond, to create a sculpture of the winning design, a bike with a solar umbrella and rain collector which could water plants as it goes along.
