Bellyful of Plastic
This sculpture was a commission for the Port of London Authority as part of their Cleaner Thames campaign. It is made from mostly plastic waste materials found in the Thames river, including footwear, tennis balls, cotton bud sticks, bottles and nylon string. It features seven smelt, a small fish that feeds on the bottom of the river and has been found to have ingested plastic waste. April 2016. Dimensions: 120 x 100 x 65cm approx.
